Evil Spawn

THE BAD FILM SOCIETY GOES FOR THE LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR!

The Bad Film Society will hold yet another event to waste a few hours of your life you will regret never seeing again.

The feature will be the total mess of a film Evil Spawn from 1987. It sort of starts out about nasty alien microbes from space, but turns into the story of a fading screen starlet who believes her career might be revived  by taking an experimental youth serum. Unfortunately whenever her passions are aroused, she turns into a towering, bug-like monster that goes on a murderous rampage!

Can this actress gone bad be stopped before Hollywood is wiped out entirely? Some random dialogue footage by near dead film star John Carradine for a project entitled Frankenstein’s Brain is mingled with at least 3 different plotlines which clumsily converge at the end.

A work of pure trash, Evil Spawn doesn’t even try to be anything besides a fast paced, senseless romp. This is not a movie for kids, but it is definitely one of the most ridiculously enjoyable bad films EVER to be screened at The Bad Film Society!!!

The evening will begin with wacky, surreal and hysterical shorts presented by demented film archivist Steven Mayerson.

Also stay tuned for the 11th episode of the serial The Lost Planet from 1953! On the par with an Ed Wood movie, it’s considered the worst serial ever made with unintentionally hilarious dialogue like "How are we going to find it, it's the Lost Planet." It was the last sci-fi serial ever made…for good reason.
