The Devil Bat starring Bela Lugosi. "It's a wonderfully ridiculous chiller from the cheapest studio in the business. Bela plays the kindly Dr. Carruthers, who works creating scents for the local perfume company. But in his spare time ... just, oh, fiddling around ... he uses electrical stimulation of the glands to create GIANT KILLER BATS! The bats themselves are very unconvincing rubber props which Mr. Lugosi carries around on a coat hanger."

Polish goes on to explain how the doctor manipulates the bats to do his bidding. "He's made them hate a particular scent, which he then incorporates into an aftershave lotion and gives to his victims as a sample of an upcoming product. 'Rub a little here . . . on the tender part of your neck' he says, as only Lugosi could say it'."
